THE USEFUL QUESTIONS

Before you
hit import.

Is my product data uploaded anywhere?

No. The free checker reads and processes the CSV inside your browser. It does not upload the file, store its contents, or use local storage. The help composer also keeps its draft in this page until you copy it or open an email app. You choose what to send. Share catalog files only after scope and a suitable transfer method are agreed.

Does a clean report mean the import will work?

It means the checker found no issues covered by its rules. Your store settings, plugins, image links, existing IDs, and WooCommerce version can still affect the result. Always review WooCommerce’s import preview and test a small batch first.

What does “whitespace-cleaned CSV” actually change?

When available, this download applies only the checker’s documented formatting cleanup, such as edge whitespace in identifiers and attribute fields, and a byte-order mark. It does not rewrite prices, invent missing values, or repair every flagged issue. Review the changes and test before importing.

Can I check an Excel or supplier spreadsheet?

The free tool accepts CSV files. Export one sheet as CSV first and use WooCommerce’s standard column names. If you need help converting and mapping a supplier spreadsheet, the file preparation service can cover one sheet within the stated row limit.

What are the free checker’s file limits?

Use a CSV up to 5 MB, with up to 10,000 data records, 512 columns, and one million fields in total. Quoted multi-line cells count as one CSV record. Split a large catalog into smaller batches if it exceeds a limit. Very large issue reports include a notice when detailed findings or cleanup suggestions are capped.

How do paid help requests and payment work?

Describe your file in the help composer and prepare a draft. Copy it into your email service, or open it in an email app, then send it yourself. Preparing or copying a draft does not send a request or place an order. We confirm fit, scope, delivery timing, file transfer, and payment arrangements before work starts. This site has no payment checkout.

Are you part of WooCommerce?

No. Catalog Import Fix is an independent service. WooCommerce is referenced to describe compatible file formats and the stores we help with.
